~We colored Easter eggs!
~Saylor and I went to Amarillo for Easter while Mas stayed here in OKC and worked :(
Saylor had a ball seeing grandparents, great-grandparents, and a few friends. And I got to eat at all of my fave Amarillo eateries!! Yum!
Saylor's first experience (that she was old enough to be out of her carseat) at Kabuki!
Swinging with Papa
~Saylor has been a champ with potty training! PTL! I would venture to say that she is completely potty trained during the day, but we still have a ways to go at night. However, she did wake up absolutely dry yesterday morning. (And if mommy would get up as SOON as Saylor starts to stir in the mornings, we might have more dry days, but instead I let her sit in there and jabber while I slowly coax myself out of bed! I am SO lazy in the mornings.)
~Saylor decided to TP her bathroom. She wanted to potty and do the toilet paper "all by SELF" so I went and started a load of laundry real fast and came back to this! Lovely!
~I got some of my flowers in the ground before the rain hit this week. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this time of year and being able to plant flowers! It's very therapeutic for me. I think I get that from my mom...she loves to be outside doing yardwork. Someday, hopefully I can actually be good at it like her!
~Cookie Monster came to church last weekend. Saylor couldn't get enough!
Papa got Saylor this shirt. Unfortunately the poor kid can't read yet and has no idea the crazy clothes I'm making her wear! Ha!
~I am just absolutely, positively loving my child at this age--not that I don't love her at every age, but REALLY!! I was somewhat dreading the "terrible twos" and I know we are still far from out of the woods, but at 2 1/4, Saylor is such a JOY! We have so much fun together and Mas and I are constantly laughing at the things she says and thinks up! Not that she doesn't throw her share of fits and somedays spends quite a bit of time in time out--but overall I start and end my days thankful and amazed that every single day she becomes more fun, bright, entertaining, and perfectly sweet! (I had to be sure and document this so in 6 months when she's testing every ounce of me--I can remember much fun we were having at this time!)
